DVDA has a section that says "loop". It will go round and round forever.

Hi JJK

I see a loop option for menu backgrounds. What I want is to import an mpeg2 graphic file and have it loop on top of a menu inside of a frame. I also do not want it to have button characteristics (i.e. can not be highlited and selected on menu)
Any other ideas??
Thanks,
Mark

I'd make a video of what ever you want to loop, including a surrounding frame if desired, and make this the background to your menu.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your help. It is appreciated. However, I don't want to set it as my menu background. I have a still for my menu background. I want a looped video file to play on my menu and I would like the looping video file to be surrounded by a frame. Now as far as I can tell, I need to figure out how to make a looping video in Vegas. Can anyone help me out here? Can a video be mad to loop in Vegas. Suppose you were to put some juicebacks or jumpbacks on the Vegas timeline, how would you render the file to make it loop?
Thanks,
Mark

Why not create the whole thing in Vegas. Use your background as the background in Vegas, then add your frame a video on top in the correct location.

Then just render the whole thing out and use it as your background in DVDA and let it loop the menu.

ou cannot set anything within a video that inherently makes it loop. Looping is a function of whatever is playing / using that video at the time.

You have (at least) two options:

1. Put your video on a track. Then put your still image on a track below the video. Resize and position the video as you want it to appear. Stretch the event for your still image so that it is the exact same length as your video. Render this to a file. Insert this new file as your menu background.

Or:

2. Put your still image on a DVDA menu. Go to Insert and choose Grahpic. Find your video and click Open. Size and position your video.

For both of these options, you then set your menu to Loop.
