Create my own "1-click" Vegasaur key stroke macro.

Is there a way to capture key strokes and play them back as shortcut? I have Vegasaur, which has a lot of 1-click options, but I need to create some things not in that list.

Also, I found how to add 1-click items to the Vegas toolbar, but the "select events" doesn't do anything - it doesn't bring up the option list.

Is this the best form for this question? Is there a Vegasaur forum?

Capturing keystrokes is more of a feature of a macro than a script. Something like AutoHotKey might be very useful to you. You can use any shortcut and make it do almost anything, including some basic programming. I use it in my DAW to put the cutting modifyer (right alt) onto my mousewheel and I have programmed a completely seperate second keyboard with it that serves exclusively as a shortcut panel. So that would be my recommendation.

If you can add it to the toolbar, you should also be able to assign it to a keypress. Use the built-in Vegas keyboard screen to assign it to whatever keypress you want.

You could also try the freeware tool Pulover's MacroCreator. Here's the link https://www.macrocreator.com/
