I would like to be able to recreate an effect I've seen before, but am not sure how. I hope I can explain it properly - here goes:
The effect essentially makes the entire image ripple like water. It is almost as if the video clip was being projected onto rippling water. A similar effect is when the entire video footage acts elasticy.
The first effect I mention (the ripple effect) I belive appears in the Stargate SG-1 TV show when they send out a "pulse" from the gadget in the palm of their hand - can't remember if it was the exact same effect I am thinking of or not.
The other effect (the elastic effect) sometimes occurs when people travel through time. They may touch a spot somewhere in open space and the whole image stretches in toward them or out away from them. Then they "press" through this empty space and the footage springs back and forth like a released piece of rubber.
I hope I have explained these well enough, and I hope someone know how I can recreate these effects.
Thanks,
Larry
