Creating a DVD Larger the 4.7GB

Hi

I am trying to create a DVD that is roughly twice the size of a normal DVD so I can keep the quality and then split the DVD over 2 disk's using DVD Decryptor. The DVD is about 10GB according to DVDA. I have set the media size to 20GB and DVDA goes all the way through the creation process but when it finishes it displays an error

AN UNSPECIFIED ERROR HAS OCCURED

I can get it to work if I drop the Bitrate down to 3000, which in turn drops the DVD size to about 4GB, the only problem being that the playback quality is no good, the picture is fuzzy and in places it appears to skip frames.

Any ideas on what could be the problem and how I might get around it????

Thanks

I would first split your movie in two and render each one separately in DVDA

Will save you alot of hasssles

Sounds like you are still going to have leftovers even if you use 2 discs. I would do what fetch said, and use a variable bit rate encoding. Just make sure you have several days to do it, as VBR can take a long time.
