Creating a Marquee

Does anyone know how to create a Marquee in Vegas? I want to run text accross the bottom of the screen from right to left. I don't want it scrolling upwards... and I want to be able to put in text about a papagragh long. I can't figure out how to do it. I just want it running across the screen at one steady speed. If anyone is able to help me out with this please post. Thanks

If you want to do this with a script, (which I assume you do since you posed this to the Vegas Script forum) you can’t. The script API does not allow you to manipulate generated media such as text.

If you want to do this manually, just add generated text media, left justified as one big line and keyframe the Placement of the first and last position. I just did it with the text from your post and it runs along the bottom of the screen quite nicely. Don’t forget to change the duration of the generated media to control the speed of the scrolling text.
