The menus are authored and prepared in DVDA.
You can use one of your videos as the menu background.

Yes, as musicvid said use the video created in VMS10 as the menu background.

I've found creating menus in Vegas is actually a little easier and you have a lot more control of the button videos/images and can crate a more complex and interesting menu.

One method to associate buttons to the images on your custom menu video:
-Create the menu video with all the buttons and/or videos on it in VMS10.
-Import the menu video into DVDA.
-Import your video(s)
-Use text only and a blank space for your button, position the "space" over the button locations and size it to the button.
-Link it to the video(s) in the DVD.

Repeat for additional buttons

Markers

Add markers to the timeline in VMS, render with "Save project markers to media file" checked. In DVDAS, use Load Markers (top left in Timeline pane).
