creating slideshow

Is there a shorter way of making a slideshow of still images with the same duration of each image so that it will be uniform throughout like 7 seconds gap of each and how do you do it? Thnx.

Go to Options>Preferences>Editing and set still image length and automatic overlap (and the settings below).
