DVDA accepts three formats of subtitle files:

DVDA Subtitle Script - named with a SUB extention - Each subtitle definition lists the order of the subtitle event, when it starts, when it finishes, and the subtitle text. Follow EVERY subtitle with a blank line.

0001 00:00:15:21 00:00:36:23 This is the first subtitle

0002 00:00:51:41 00:01:12:67 This is the second subtitle

0003 00:01:29:95 00:01:34:95 This is the third subtitle

=============================================================

DVD Studio Pro - named with a TXT extension - Start time, finish time, text. No blank lines necessary

00:00:15:21 00:00:36:23 This is the first subtitle
00:00:51:41 00:01:12:67 This is the second subtitle
00:01:29:95 00:01:34:95 This is the third subtitle

=============================================================

Sony Vegas Region List - named with a TXT extension - start time, finish time, and length of the subtitle event. If you're using Vegas to create the video, you can create regions in Vegas, name each one with your subtitle text, and export the list to use in DVDA. Granted, this means you can't use Regions for their intended purpose in that project. ;-)

00:00:15.215 00:00:36.236 00:00:21.021 This is the first subtitle
00:00:51.418 00:01:12.672 00:00:21.254 This is the second subtitle
00:01:29.956 00:01:34.956 00:00:05.000 This is the third subtitle

BTW, this was a snap to figure out. You just go into DVDA, set up a few subtitle events, and Export them from there into the various formats.

I would sugest using subtitle workshop...it is by far the best of the subtitle helpers and it is free..... when you save the file.. save it as "sonic dvd creator" and it will open fine in DVDA
