I have the Audigy Platinum card and have no problems recording.
What are you recording from? what are you using (mic, line in)?
More info needed.

Yes!!! I had the same problem, then discovered the formula for making it work...

Go to your Windows Recording Mixer, click "off" or "on" the "wave/mp3" or "Analog Mix".

Check to see what the setting are on the Audigy Surround Mixer as well. Bring it up, play with the controls and click on and off til you find a "happy place" and stay there...

Check to see if you have selected the MIDI port as your Audio Source also, It took several days to play with this to make it work out so you now have the condensed version...

I actually removed the SB software, then re-installed, and found/fixed the problem... you may need do the same.

Does it affect your recordings? I've got an Audigy 2 Platinum, and when I record anything in Vegas that doesn't use FireWire, I hear what you're talking about. However, when I check my files, they sound fine. Mine just echoes/reverbs during recording.

Make sure 'Input Monitor' is turned off. Sounds like you're in a feedback loop.
