Creative Script Ideas

I produce local cable spots for the local cable company. Usually, I do just fine, but every once in a while I'll hit Writer's Block, or a client will want something "particularly funny." I'm not a particularly funny guy and typically have a hard time writing this.
Where can one turn to for inexpensive writing talent to help in this kind of situation. Inexpensive and creative be the operative conditions here, since we're dealing with a "local budget."
Being brain dead is a tough thing in this biz.

Give me an example of what you want; I'll write something "sort of funny" for a dollar.

Rob

PS: How was that?

Parities of current fads are usually a good way to have some fun in a spot.

Do you have any comedy improv troupes in town? Call some of them up and see what they'd charge to write something for you.

You could contact your nearest college or community college for projects
for students.

Each student is just waiting for opportunity to knock and while you can
specify who has rights to the final project something for them to put
on their resume is priceless.

just RUB STIX.

It kills 'em every time.

However, you probably need to provide more detail if want to get workable ideas.

Thanks everyone.
Guess I was looking for an ad agency site that, for a nominal fee, would write a script idea or campaign. That's probably the extreme cost thing which - well would count me out.
Thanks to all who offered to help individually!
