Use the standard generated media and then make it scroll via keyframes. I have a couple newsletter articles that deal with this topic.

type everything in a text program & copy/paste in to the credit roll. for two columns in one row use tabs.

Ditto. I create all of my credit rolls in a word document and just cut and paste into the Credit Roll Generated Media and it works like a charm.

Another tip:

Since I tape a lot of interviews with a rotating crew, I have a "Master" credit roll .veg with everyone listed. Then, for each particular interview, I make a copy of the veg [so the master list doesn't get changed, learned my lesson the hard way when I first used it by nesting the veg] and just go down the list deleting the crew members not involved in that particular production. Saves me a lot of time this way.
