Credit Roll - Try This

Hi

I thought I'd share this with you as the subject of drop shadow has come up before.

I created a credit roll event on track 1. This was with white text and transparent background. I made sure the Pan/Crop was reset.

At the same start point on track 2 I copied the above track. I set Pan/Crop to Centre-X +2.0 and Centre-Y +2.0. Also the event text colour was set to dark grey.

Track three had slow moving clouds as discussed in another thread.

Once prerendered the effect was cool. Any alterations could easily be made on track one then delete the event on track 2 (temporarily move the Pan/Crop keyframe first or this will be deleted). Remeber to change the text colour again on track 2.

Works well and is easy.

Not a bad idea at all. Good job!

A couple of suggestions that might improve it though:

- Use Track Motion to move the position track 2 instead of Pan/Crop. This way you don't have to worry about resetting it if you have to change the text.

- Set up a color-curve effect on track 2 to darken the entire track. This way you don't have to worry about chaging the color again after changing the text.

Thanks.

- Use track motion... Sorry, I did use Track motion and not Pan/Crop.

- Set up colour curve... Lost me there a bit. Could you explain a little more as I can't seem to grasp what I would be acheiving.

..or you just could have turned on the shadow in track motion to apply it to the credit roll.

Neat idea to use two identical generated events, offset slightly. I bet there are also sorts of other ways to apply that same clever idea.

Well done!
