Use the track motion controls and size the video or you can also use pan and crop .

Thanks jimmyz... but I am at lost... I don't want to crop the picture nor the video... I just want to squeeze, (squish) it to the left...I know it will be elongated... I see this technique on TV very often... I only want the black on the right... ideally the credits would covered half of the screen...on the right
I am using VMS 7 platinum version

When in "Track Motion" or Pan/Crop (whichever you choose to use), you'll find a button called lock aspect ratio" (across the top of the track motion dialog, or on the left of the pan/crop dialog). Turn this button off, then you can squish the video to your heart's content.

Philip.... it is so simple... but I had never used track motion... didn't know a thing about. it.... so I was putting my media on the video track... once I realized with "help" that the media has to be on the overlay track... it worked... So, put your media on the overlay track... click on track motion button and hoover with the mouse on the bottom corner.of the box..til a black circle shows (left or right depending where you want your credits..). hold the mouse and choose the position you want.... you will see that on the left side under Position X Y width height are changing while you move the mouse.... you might have to reduce the work place and reduce the zoom % .....you can use the keyframes and have the media full size and gradually change to the size you want for your credits.... Let me know how this helps you

Actually this will work fine no matter what track you use. It doesn't have to be the overlay track. You just have to put the video and the credits on two separate tracks, but it doesn't matter which tracks each is on.
