Hi Kevin,
Congratulations on your first project. A few things to maybe consider 1. Why the red letter box, or any for that matter? If you need to have it, maybe a more neutral color or background 2. It seemed rather lenghty. Most projects I do are 3 minutes or less. Otherwise, you run the risk of the dreaded snoring ;) 3. The subject matter was rather 'dry', maybe some background music and visual effects to help hold interest. Just some quick thoughts, but the bottom line is if you, and more importantly your client, are happy with it. Keep up the good work. Cin

Great job, Kevin.
I have only one "nit-picking" comment. On some videos where you have added information....names, phone numbers, etc. you may want to consider a darker text color that would be easier to read against light backgrounds....(or a lighter text against dark backgrounds). This is sometimes difficult to do.

Good luck.

You did a great job on that, congrats. I get it, red background to signify blood. However, I would suggest a slightly darker tone so it's not so in your face. Rather than the default 255, try something closer to 200 for the R color value.

Maybe a little music playing in the background would help, very soft but still perceptible.

For the text, the color is okay, but bringing the Feather down (Text Effects tab) to have more contrast with the background. You could even enable the Draw Border, no feather and very small width.

You did a great job even if you don't make any changes.

3. The subject matter was rather 'dry',

I, on the other hand, thought the topic was quite interesting ((:

Probably because, I worked for a large health care organization a few years ago as an network engineer for eight years and found myself exposed many disciplines of health care including but not limited to hematology. (:

Back on topic, I too found the red boarders a little distracting, as OMG said maybe a more neutral color or black. Also, maybe just use a still picture or deshaker when zooming in and out of the banners, this will eliminate the shake which will make the production look a little better overall.

Also, maybe some others can provide feedback on this, but maybe choose either 4:3 or 4:9 format on your next production and stick to that format all the way thru the video rather than switching between the two if possible. Otherwise good job!

Far too much red background ... avoid it by zooming or cropping images and video. Poor alignment of images. Boring ... add some animation or at least animated text rather than photos of text. Add some music. Some images and video stretched out of proportion. Poor text layout.

Regarding the "readability" of white text .. you added a shadow which helps, but adding an OUTLINE in black insures that the text will be readable no matter what the background. Depending on the font size you can reduce the width of the outline, as the smaller the font the larger (in proportion) the outline will be.

Also near the end when you have a bunch of folks on screen (six I think) all saying the same phrase ... that didn't work for me .. it may have been one of those "It seemed like a good idea at the time" moments, but in practice not as good.

Thank you for all the feedback on the video. I pretty much agree with all of it. As I said, the client loves it and that's what counts in the end for this project, but I have some valuable feedback to consider with my upcoming projects. Thanks again for taking the time to look at it!
