Croma Keyer

I have Movie Studio 8 and have a Picture I made of a Pumpkin and it is all out off Charcoal.
I then toock a Photo of it so now it is a JPG and I cut the Eyes and Mouth out and replaced it with a Blue Color.

So I open the JPG of the Pumpkin on the Tp Video Track and on the bottom Video Track I have a Video of ire.

I open Croma Keyer and select Blue and drag it to the Pumpkin.

Then when the Croma Keyer window opens I use the Eye Droper to Select the Blue in my Pumkins Eyes.

So when the Video plays you just see the Fire Flamesin the JPs Pumkins Eyes and Mouth.

And it works.

One thing you can see the Fire Flickerthrough the whole Photo. And Yes the whole photo is Gray Charcoal just the Pumpkins Eyes and Mouth are Blue?

So whay is doing this or am I doing this in the wrong way?
Thanks for the time.

Sounds like your tolerance setting might be too high. The effect isn't just keying your blue but it's keying your gray too.

Might be easier to say if you could post a link to the video or a screep capture.

Well if I use the Eye Dropper to Select the Color I want to go away then why would it Grab the Gray with it?

What I do is after I click on Croma Keyer on the Left side of Movie Studio I then get all the Presets.
So I Grab Blue and Drag it to my Timeline on my Pumpkin.

Then the Croma Keyer Window opens and yes I see where you can ajust the colors but I just use the Eye Dropper so I get the right color.

But my wole picture is Gray so it sould not even Grab any of the Gray color even if I have my Toleranc set to high right?

Or do I not understand how this works?
