Crop .wmv movie for Youtube?

I have a 40 minute .wmv11 hidef video rendered in VMS10. I no longer have the .vf file. Is there a way to crop the beginning and end of the .wmv movie to reduce the size without re-rendering. Re-rendering (I'm told) would degrade the video. I would like to upload to Youtube if I can reduce the length and size of the video, Thanks for any ideas.

In Vegas, without the project and media files, the answer is no. There may be other splitter/joiners out there that will do this.

The .vf file may be immaterial. Whether you have that or not, what you would need is the original source you rendered from. If you still have that you can crop to the length you need and render, obtaining a file of the same quality as your current longer file.
