Biiiiig problem here. Need help.

I just got a Dell M70 laptop and transfered a project from my PC dell to the M70. I copied all the associated video files and project files as well. I opened the project and did the neccessary search to re-link all the files. Everything is there and it opens fine. Now I try to play it back and all my paning and croping is messed up. The text and transitions are fine. The M70 has a wide screen and higher end video card but I don't see why this would change FX (pan and crop). Any ideas. This is for a tribute video (with still pictures) that I need to complete on the fly at the event so I have to get it working on the laptop. Heeeelp.

I would try to change your laptop to a 4x3 display and see if that clears it up. The pan/crop may assume absolute X-Y coordinates, instead of percentage of display area.

I am using the "event pan/crop" feature to zoom and pan on still pictures. What is happening is that the panning is still occuring but the croping window has changed completely. It has gone from a small cropping window back to the entire frame. This has occured for all pictures where I used the pan/crop feature.

OK problem solved. For future reference this is what happened.

Very strange and I don't know why but once I saved the project for the first time (after the search for the associated video clips) it was still a problem but once I closed the project and re-opened it everything was back to normal.

Strange but true. Maybe Sony has an explaination for this?
