Cropping Still Photos

I've read the onboard manual and even gone through a video tutorial on using the cropping tool for vegas (the tutorial is Vegas 7 I'm using Vegas 9). But I still can't get rid of this blank border around the photo.

I've got a still of a company logo. ALL I WANT TO SEE IS THE LOGO. I've set the source to stretch to fill. But no m,atter where I move the cropping tool, I've still got a right left black margin that I don't want to see. Can anyone tell me how to set the pan/cropper to get rid of the unwanted margins?

In the Pan/Crop window, right-mouse-button-click inside the cropping rectangle and from the popup menu choose "match output aspect".

Thanks, that's helping but the problem seems to be that I can't move veritcally to get the view I need of the logo.

When I zoom out horizontally, the borders disappear (good!). But so does the logo (bad!).

So now I need to move "the eye" of the cropping tool UP VERTICALLY to get the logo back into view on screen without the margins. How do I do that?

Honestly, this is probably better to do in an image editor program such as Photoshop. You will have better control. Vegas crops works well, but can be confusing to use sometimes.

Look to see if you have the "Lock Y axis movement" button checked.
