You might want to look at "A-BEX" test CD's. I'm not so sure where to point you too any longer, of where to order them. They'll usually cost you $75 a CD. I have 2 Abex test CD's and really never use them, since I prefer to use Sound Forge. You got me wondering, why you wouldn't consider using sound forge? The only reason I can see using the Abex CD's is when comparing data measurements, in that both sides are using the same source material for comparison. I have found even among different test tone CD's, a 1Khz at 0dB will vary in frequency and RMS voltage levels, not much but my official Ford automotive audio test disc measured out to be 998 Hz for 1khz. Just enough to effect an RMS voltage measurement coming from a CD mechanism output. Then my Abex disc measured to be 1001Hz for 1Khz and I got a lower RMS voltage reading compared to the Ford test disc.

I have both Denon Audo-Technical CD, and Alan Parsons Soundcheck.
