Would this PC be fast enough to utilise Vegas 8?

http://www.cube247.co.uk/?customise=20

I would drop Vista and use XP pro, but just wondered if the 2048MB Corsair DDR II 667 Memory is fast enough and the Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Dual Core Processor would be used by new Vegas 8?

They do some machines with 4GB Ram but have heard that standard XP only uses up to 3GB max?! so why do they put 4GB in?

(thats why I plumped for this 2GB tower)

Is Vegas 8 dual core or quad core? - I will aslo be using this tower for the Sony suite of Apps like Acid 6 (and 7 when it arrives, bet that will be dual-core too!) and Sounforge 9.0.

Thanks!

Needs at least another HDD.
No firewire? Guess you can add a card yourself.
Re the RAM thing, Well in general it's 2 or 4GB and using 3 seems better than 2. However you can I believe you can fit fit only 3 on some mobos and all will be well. Personally I'm having difficulty understanding just what great amounts of RAM gains you anyway. 2GB would seem more than adequate.
As for number of cores, no simple answer and no one seems to have a definative answer. It really depends on what Vegas is doing and what the code from others that Vegas is using supports.

Maybe someone can provide some more definative answers. I'm about to upgrade a PC myself and for once I'm thinking spending big dollars might be a waste.
