So, I need to create some video that is to go online, and it need to have cue points in it to trigger various actions etc. Windows Media is out of the question, so I was looking into using Flash for delivery. That gives me two main encoding options, On2 and MP4, out of which Vegas supports only one. So, to my questions...
Does the MP4 container format not support cue points / media markers, or is it just Vegas that doesn't support inserting them into this container format. I guess there is a slight chance of operator error here, but I can't see any other way of doing this, if it is possible, than inserting command markers on my time line.
Since Vegas has no support for Flash, and it seems that either MP4 doesn't support media markers or Vegas doesn't support them in MP4, is my only option to go with an Adobe product for this as well? I'd rather not, but...
Oh, and of course I could go with Quicktime, but I make sure as few Apple products run on my PC as humanly possible, I kinda like being able to work on it, and every time I install a new Apple product I get a new set problems that needs to be solved.
