Curious error msg in DVDA3 re-Subtitles

Steve Mann wrote on 5/2/2006, 1:12 AM
I just got an error message I've never seen in DVDA3 with subtitles. When preparing the DVD files, I got critical alerts saying that two of my subtitles were "... too complex due to one or more horizontal lines".

I've looked at the sub files and at the preview and I'll be darned if I can see anything wrong with the subtitles.

Does anyone know what this message is trying to tell me?

Thanks

Yes,
the strings are too long, break them up into two lines.
Bob.

What I should have said was try making the text box higher so the titles can spread over two ro more lines.

I don't follow you. These are subtitles, there's no text box that I can control. The text at the error points are shorter than other lines that DVDA doesn't complain about. The lines are clean, plain text, no extra spaces or tabs. The .sub file was made by a Vasst script.

If it was made by SubText, could you send the file to me so I can look at it. It is possible that the script generated something illegal. Just email it to the ultimatesupport id at vasst and I’ll take a look at it.
