Cursor in Trimmer Window

I capture my tapes with scene detection, then double click the clips in explorer to select video I want to open in the trimmer, then move selected video to the time line.

When I doubleclick the files the clip opens in the trimmer window with the cursor in the middle of the clip. Is there a setting to change the default cursor position to the beginning of the clip when the window opens? I use Vegas 5.

There may be, but why not just double click the clip in the trimmer window? Then you can play the clip from the beginning or scrub through the clip from either the beginning or the end.

Thanks for that tip. Sometimes the obvious is not in the manual. Doubleclicking the clip sets the cursor to the beginning and highlights the whole clip.
