Do you also have DVDA?
I think you to have installed that as well to get mpeg-2 encoding. Can't be certain if that was the case back in 6.0 days or not and I've always had DVDA.

I *assume* you're trying to export to MainConceptmpeg-2(*.mpg) yes?

I've only got 6.0d but mine works just fine.
Have you by any chance got some other mpeg-2 codec installed that's messed things up. I've not heard of that causing an issue but worth asking.

No I do not have DVDA intsalled with my Vegas 6.0c because I use another DVD authoring software (DVD MAestro).
I try to export MPEG 2 PAL separate stream but want to select the 16:9 aspect artio.

John, are you using the full version of Vegas or the Studio version? What you're describing sounds exactly like the Studio version ... there's no 16:9 PAL DVD template for MPEG and no custom options either.

This is a register entry issue. If you are comfortable editing the REGISTER, I will post the fix for you.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reponse. No I'm no at all confortable with "editing the REGISTER"! I don't know what it is! Can you tell me about that? And explain how to fix it? I have the full version of VEgas 6 and not Movie studio.
Thanks for your help

Here's the answer. (But, yes, you do have to edit the registry.)

To expand on JETDV, you probably have an entry called KEY 1. You need to delete that.

OK thanks, BUT HOW do I access the registry?? What are the steps to arrive at the information indicated in the JTDV website and how to save the changes done??

Videojohn, I strongly suggest you ask someone who DOES know how to access the registry to do this for you.

However, to fully answer your question:
Start - Run - REGEDIT
