Custom collections in ProType Titler

There are a couple of effects I'd like to create in PTT. First, I would like text to fly in, hover for a moment, then fly out.

Next, I would like the text to fly in, hover, then pop-down.

Flying in is not a problem as I can use the built-in collection, but how can I make it fly out or pop-down?

There seems to be no way to combine collections, and I can't figure out how to accesses the individual controls you get with collections when working with block text. By that I mean, if I want to work from scratch with a block of text, then the controls available from within a collection do not appear to be available from anywhere else except from within that collection.

Any help would be most welcome...

ok, first off: keyframes are able to be enabled on an effect by effect basis by clicking on the little swirly next to that setting on the left hand side of the tool.

Secondly if you want to cascade animations at either the letter, word, or line level, you'll need to go down to where the keyframes are being created and select the cascade effect option (it's two little boxes one on top of the other), then next to that is a little ... box and you can adjust the settings for the cascade effect on those animations by clicking on this. That will provide you with a slider for delay, a box with words in it, allowing you to designate whether the animation will work on only that word, that line, or that entire block of text, and then under that is a curve that allows custom adjustment of the smoothness of the animation.

I hope that clears a few things up from there, experiment a little after you figure out the cascading thing and you'll start to see the "phenomenal cosmic power" packed in that "itty bitty living space" (ok so it's late and I'm randomly quoting Disney's Aladin... IT'S LATE OK, sheesh :P ).

I used :

Transform > Offset > Y coord.

It would appear as very similar to the previous "Placement" tab? I most likely NOT using Transform in the way is meant. But I can get a whole word drop vertically down.

putting my unanswered question here since it didn't elict any response on it's own thread -

how do i add to collections (ie save them as presets?

can i import to collections (i'm assuming it's flash based), or where can i get more presets?)

how can i transfer a custom effect from desktop to laptop?

and i haven't even started with it!

btw, i started off with the same problem of the hdv window being hidden. i ctl+shift'ed, brought up the capture window, docked it to the general tab window, saved. opened up again, called for capture, it appeared as a tab, and then proceeded to do my layout thing. now when i call up hdv cap. it appears as a tab....

Thank you for the responses. I have already toyed with the keyframing and the other settings.

What I really wanted was to be able to apply two sets of collections to a single item, and then edit those applied connections, varying the timing etc.

I guess I'll have to create what I want from scratch and add it to the Custom collections.

Thanks again, chaps.
