I'm just wondering if the new scripting API, extensions and Custom Commands are sufficiently flexible and deep to write a script that would function as a storyboard?

I've always wanted the ability to:
1. select clip thumbnails from a bin, Project Media window or the Media Manager;
2. preview them, in order, in the Video Preview window;
3. shuffle the clips as desired,
4. then lay them on the timeline, in the desired sequence.

Is a script like this now possible?
