Custom Templates

Hello, everyone..I've run into an unexpected problem..I wanted to save a video to disk in avi format, with the frame rate at 23.976. I've used the advanced renderer and custom to attempt this, but when I try to set the select that frame rate, I get an error every time that says, "Could not load Template <name>"..I've saved the template after I've worked on it, but I can't seem to get that error to go away..I'm using Vegas Video Studio 4.0..any ideas what the problem may be and how to correct it? Thanks.

Are you sure you're selecting avi? I only see 23.976 fps as an option when rendering to MPEG. I know that doesn't answer your question, but you may have set up some conflicting options.

Ahhh..hm. Thats odd. I went to doublecheck my settings like you said. When I get ready to make my movie and click the "make movie" button..the render settings do say Video for Windows (*.avi)..and it says avi when I try click the advanced render button, too. When I click custom, and click the video tab, under frame rate, it offers me..29.970 (NTSC), 23.976 (inserting 2-3 pulldown) and 23.976 (inserting 2-3-3-2 pulldown) as my options. Maybe my program is simply insane? However..I tried to save it as an MPEG-2, and the only option I can set it to that has 23.976 fps is..DVD Architect 24p NTSC Widescreen Video Stream..which would remove all the audio from my clip. I find this problem really odd. Is my copy of the program insane, somehow? I'm almost starting to think it sounds like I need to uninstall the program and reinstall it.
