Cut & paste volume envelopes?

Anyone tried to copy the audio tracks from V6 to V5 so as to include volume envelopes? I'm trying to copy a long-from project from V6 "down" to V5, project by project, and everything copies exactly except that the hundreds of tweaks in the audio tracks' volume envelopes (the blue line where you insert points and adjust volume) don't carry over. I have 'lock envelopes to events' switched on but that did't help.

I'm doing the copy because I've given up using V6 any further due to the utter frustration of never knowing whether a long render will complete--or rather, knowing that it won't complete.

The preview window's video FX settings won't copy over either, but that's not a problem. I just don't have the time to re-do a 1 1/2 hour film project's sound tweaks from sentence to sentence, so if the answer is it can't be done, there'll be no point in applying Batchrender Pro to V5, since the volume envelope issue will not be fixed--i.e., it will take less time to render in V6 section by section rather than redo all the volume envelopes in V5. Aargh.

Any suggestions?

VF?

Loaded V6.

Imported some Vid/Aiudio.

Created a VolEnvel in V6 > Opened V5 > Back to V6 > Copied Video & VolEnveled Audio and PASTED into V5. Done! VolEnvel is in V5.

Make sure you HAVEN'T got AUTO Ripple on in V5 .. . not good idea!

Thanx Grazie. Kept tinkering along those lines and don't know why but this is what works after I have both V6 and V5 open:

1. Click on Envelope Edit Tool in V6, click on any audio track and on menu choose Edit>Select>Select All.

2. Leaving everything selected, click on Normal Edit Tool, then Control+A to select everything in project with that tool. Click on Copy icon on tool bar.

3. Without touching anything else in the V6 project, switch to a blank V5 and hit Paste.

This gave me all project assets including the volume envelope points intact.

What doesn't copy is audio bus settings and preview window settings. It appears those have to be recreated manually. But still saved me a mountain of time.
