Cuts to beat plugin for Vegas would be very nice.

All you coders (JetDV, Satish all others welcome) I have a request for a plugin that would allow you to specify several tracks and cut between them when ever audio peaked past a certain level.

It would allow you to make shuttering between tracks real fast, automating the cuts with out having to sync your cuts exactly to the beat.

Music video's , Wedding videos all kinds of things could benefit from this. Maybe released in the next Excalibur or Tsunuami!

Trapcode has something similar to what I am talking about for AE but maybe not so this powerful though it would be nice since you can use to sync time remapping and audio and so on but you get the idea. I just would like to have it sync cut's and maybe transitions to the beat of the audio

Could this be accomplished in Vegas, if so does anyone else think this would be a major time-saver and make things really interesting.

Here is a link to Sound Keys
at Trapcodes site so you can see what I am talking about .

It's also found in Video Studio, Pinnacle's Studio 9, and other low end consumer ware. You can already do this with markers, but you have to insert the markers.
I dunno. I'm not certain that having this tool be in there would be of speed in Vegas. It's more a consumer type thing.

Ok I see what you are saying, I know this could all be done in Vegas but I am talking about a timesaver even if it is offered in a "low end consumer ware" I don't think it is any different than excalibur or tsunaumi not that I think those are bad by any means but those are essentially time savers that mostly can all be accomplished in Vegas as I am stating with a beat mapper.

Did you watch the clip of the rhythmfly.mov
it's really cool, again this could be done in Vegas though it would take some work to accomplish.

By the way are you stalking me?
;-)

Sorry just a "bump" here since it never really got much feed back just thought it may of got missed by some. Watching those videos made me think how nice this would be to have.

I have done this manually and it is no fun I did this
here in vegas but no kiding it took me about 2Hrs to get the keyframes to the beat for the speakers.

What I was thinking was specify an audio level or frequency as what causes the effect and a video FX as the target.

I enjoyed your speaker clip shogo - 2 hours to do all that synching doesn't sound all that bad.

Presumably you first went through in realtime tapping the M key where you wanted a keyframe.

Thanks,
yea I used the M key for the initial part of the beat down the length of the audio track but I had to go and make the speakers jiggle for the inflex as the beat boomed. I then copied those keyframes and pasted them where they needed to be.

But like I was saying this could of been really easy with a plugin that would automate these type of effects similar to the trapcode plugins.

Check out the link on the rhythmfly.mov I hyperlinked really sweet!

I wish I could have 1.00 for every time someone says something in software coding is easy. I'd easily be a millionaire....
It's like the statement about business...."If it were easy, everyone would be doing it."
This sort of feature has long been talked about for Vegas, Movie Studio, etc.
It also would directly compete with Beatmapper in ACID at one level, so you might want to consider beatmapping a track and exporting it to Vegas with markers.

Sorry I didn't mean to say making this pluggin would be easy. Don't know why I said that oops my bad. I am no programmer by any means I am a network engineer by trade but that by no means makes me a programmer in any sense. This would be pretty difficult I imagine like I said no programmer here ;-). I think trapcode is working on supporting Combustion so I will quit asking for it and do it in C*

It would also be nice if Markers appeared in the position keyframer timeline. Having the Sync is good ..having the markers there too .. . G

AMEN! Grazie
