is there a cut tool like in adobe premiere for vegas 5.0b? it gets annoying having to move the clip away from all the music and other files, using the standard edit->cut feature, and then moving all the new clips back. and im not talking about sliding the clip shorter or long. i wanna no if there's just a standard tool where i can just click a clip at a certain frama and it'll seperate from there... thanks

Its called SPLIT in Vegas. Click your cursor on the main timeline where you want to cut, then from Edit select Split or just hit the "S" key on your keyboard. If you need to be more precise first zoom in on the timline by clicking your keyboard up arrow a few times or so.

Put the cursor where you wish to "cut" the event. Press "S" to "S"plit the clip into two pieces.

If you select multiple events, all the events will be split, if you select only one event, only that one will split, no need to move anything.
