Here's the situation: I've been shooting an industrial site for the past week. We've been using two wireless mikes in conjunction with the PD-150, one on each channel. One day, one of the wireless mics was set up in such a way that it was too hot, and audio on that mic's channel is blown out -- clipped and completely smothered with ambient factory noise.
I've duplicated the audio track in Vegas, then split the audio into a channel one track and a channel two track. Channel one, the blownout channel, can't be used, but (fortunately) channel two is o.k.
So, my question is this: if I use just the one channel -- the right -- and burn this to a DVD, will there be any audio problem with playback? I guess what I'm concerned about is that this will be handled by some playback equipment as though it was a mono recording, therefore unplayable.
Are my fears grounded? Is there a way around this?
