DAR Files?

I am using a trial version of DVDStudio 2.0 to verify dvd writer compatability prior to purchase. With trial version I cannot Prepare or Prepare and Burn. Burn selection wants to know location of prepared files. There must be some work around so I can prepare files to burn. I have seen some stuff about .dar files but am unsure how to proceed at this point. Thanks.

The only thing you can do is purchase the product and enter the correct code to unlock that functionality.

DAR files are the files that DVDAS uses to store the information about the project in.

As far as burner comatability goes - not much you can do. There's probably a 25% chance (maybe higher) that DVDAS won't work with your burner. If that's the case then the easiest thing to do is to get a copy of Nero or CopyToDVD 9which is cheaper than Nero) to do your burning.

You could try copying the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders off a DVD into a folder on your hard drive and then point DVDStudio to that folder after you click on "Burn". (Make sure it is NOT a protected DVD - and do this only for testing purposes as you'll be violating copyright)

Thanks for the assistance. I tried copying ts files from another dvd and but DVDA trial only allows 500 meg files and i had none that small. It did allow me to go a few further steps and it appears to have recognized my drive, so that will have to be good enough.

Thanks again,
