If it did burn data cd's then it would "really" be my all in one solution. I always had problems with installing easy cd creator on win ME...Is Nero recommended over it for ME,win2000,XP? Doesn't XP have a burning software?Might be audio only...not sure.Later.

XP can data through the CD-RW device directly and audio through the Windows Media Player. It's basic, but it works.

It is not an archiving tool- you cannot stash your project and source files on a CD (in case anybody is wondering)

doesn't always work... xp won't burn on my hp9300

no big deal though. i wish windows xp was less of a software suite and more of an OS. i'm waiting for someone to make a tool that will turn off all the extra services and junk that XP runs by default, like the cd burning service. all that stuff takes up resources and i never use it. it's too much of a pain to weed through and turn off things one-by-one.

we need an XP lite utility like the one for Win98!
