Hi Movie Studio people,
I have had an issue with capturing the Date Codes from a DV camcorder with the video in Movie Studio 11. From recent research I now understand that while the date code information is retained with the capture, there is no way to display or render this in MS11. This is what led me to discover some free software called Dv Date as I had read it would read the "hidden" information and bake it into the video stream for further use.
So I rendered the captured clip in MS to an uncompressed avi and loaded it into Dv Date but I can't figure out how to actually get it to display, let alone render the original date codes. All I have managed to do is create fresh ones that default to the moment when I captured from the camcorder into MS.
It's like the date codes are not being detected.
Perhaps I have the wrong render settings back in MS but I can't figure out what the problem could be.
If anyone with a similar experience could shed some light on the issue it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
