I'm sure she'll be very proud.

Great video, but you let her marry a sailor? My father-in law made the same mistake!

If you want to vary the look, you can keyframe the colors of background to change subtly over time. I've done this before, it's a nice look, especially because if it's slow enough, you don't notice it the first time

Hey now! I was a (submarine) sailor!

They're not *all* bad! :)

Just another fact of life. Service men and weight-lifters get the best women! I attended Washington and Lee years ago, an all-men's school at the time. Guess who got dates? -- the VMI guys down the road!

You should see the woman my grandfather got (yeah, my grandmother. There's a reason they started dating in June and got married by the end of the summer!). He was a CANADIAN sailer too. :)

Very nice video. I agree with BB too. :) With the background, you might wanna do a reverse after it plays through once. Looks slightly jumpy. Or you could just have the background fade in/out of itself.

That would make a VERY GOOD background of the main menu on a DVD too.

USS John Adams SSBN 620 (Gold) 1981 - 1985 + Fast Attack TIme = 10 years... :(

I know, we can't believe it either- her mother and I are mutants ;). I changed the music and did some work on the background loop. Should be done rendering by this time next week....

Hi Jon-
I found this veg file some time ago, and I been looking online all morning so as to give the author credit, to no avail, but you can download it here:

I made a lot of chages as you can see.

George

If you look in the veg. file properties, summary the author is Gary Gowman.

Great video!

Make sure you let us see the finished product...it's always great to see what people do with Vegas.

I changed the music and toned down the background. I deliberately wanted this intro to be in slomo, to make it more dream-like. The rest of the video will be at varying speeds.....

Did you add any lighting of your own? Your daughter has a wonderful glow on her shoulders and hair. If that just from a ceiling fixture, or was that deliberate?

The faces seem well lit as well.

And congratulations!

All natural lighting, used a diffusion filter on my GL2.
