asked to maka a dvd of camcorder day time beach tape ...tape is to dark ..any advice onmaking it clear without having to use brighnness feature?

I would start with BillyBoy’s tutorial: He shows you how to use Color Curves and Levels to help with this. If the image is way too dark, there might not be enough information to recover, but try it.
