De-Interlacing

Good day and Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it!
I apologize for asking a work-related question on a holiday, but I'm wondering if there is a way to deinterlace a frame of video to make a decent still. The frame is pretty interlaced, as the subject is in motion, and the fields are pretty prominent.
Thanks for any and all advice! -mjr

Set the project properties to Progressive and set "Interlace method" to interpolate. Then, if you set the preview window to Best (full), you should be able to get a decent still frame.

As you predicted, that worked like a charm. A good method for me to have learned. Thanks very much. -mjr

There's also a script that I haven't used yet at the sundance site that's supposed to do a good job with this. Again, I haven't tried it so I can't speak for the relative quality.
