Dead Help File Link...

Where the Help file says, "Capture your video. Click here to learn how to capture video with Sonic Foundry Video Capture."

The link is dead. Link properties: vidcap30.chm::/Basic_Capturing.htm

Could someone please tell me, can you not set the capture length time for capturing analog video? Hours, minutes, seconds???

This is all I need to know.

I'll climb out on a limb and make a guess.

Vegas has no way to control an analog device I know of so I doubt it can control length or for that matter anything from within Vegas. Again, guessing, you would have to monitor progess by controlling the device, such as your VCR. Crude yes, but at least that should work. I remember in the distant past trying it the other way around, printing to my VCR before I had a digial camera using a video-out set up through a video card that supported it. The results were far from exciting. Again, trying to remember, the way I captured was to switch video out on the video card, start the ALREADY rendered file, made sure I saq on a connected TV to the VCR's out, then just hit the record button on the VCR, then the off button once done. Crude indeed. Maybe someone can give you more hope.
