My number 2 "video overlay track" appears to be "dead" - nothing placed in it will show in the Preview window ?? NO ! The " track mute button" is not on .....nothing is in the track above it to cover it.. was having a really bad time doing an edit until I discoverd this situation - placing media up in track 1 works as expected > Any suggestions?? thanks..

If the track isn't muted, is another track soloed?

Also, is there possibly a Video Envelope on the track with the Composite Color level reduced to zero?

Worst case, you can always just delete the track and create a new one. It's easy enough to move whatever is there to the new track.

Steve,
Thanks for that help - I deleted and repalced the track - and the problem is gone - I had been able to use tracks 1and 3 so no solo problem ?? I am no big envelope user -may be I will learn when .....

Your new VMS bok comes out . Still shooting for April ?? -I could use it today !!

Thanks again, K

The first draft is done.

I'll be rewriting and indexing it over the next week. Then it's on to proofreading!

We're still shooting for a mid-or late-April publication. Thanks again for asking!
