Ah, so that's how they do it!
The card appears as an ASIO audio card, neat trick I guess if that means we can capture 6 channels of audio and video at once.
I suppose it means we can also PTT six channels of audio.

As to how you configure this in Vegas I'm not exacatly certain. To capture six channels of audio one would normally add six tracks, arm them for record and assign the six inputs from the ASIO device to them and when you hit the master record they go into record, simple.

Question is how does this work with 422 deck control out the BMD cards to the deck and how is the video handles down SDI at the same time?
Is all of this compatible with batch capture?

Sorry only a few answers there and far more questions, it'd be nice for someone from the Sony team to write up a little note for us or should we ask the guys at BMD how to use Vegas with their gear?

Bob.

The Decklink website is in error irt Vegas- Vegas 6 can capture and lay back stereo audio only using Decklink cards. You could theoretically lay back your audio in multiple passes if you needed 4/6/8 etc channels back on the tape.

Capturing more than 2 channels of audio via Decklink...this is definitely not supported at this time in Vegas 6.

I assume we could lock the deck to Vegas using MTC and a suitable adaptor to send TC to the deck?
