Default audio fade type

When you overlap two audio files, Vegas applies a default type of fade...and we have the option of changing that "type" of audio fade by right clicking on it, a dialog box with 25 different types of fades appears. Here is the question...can we set one of those 25 different fades as the default?

Go into Preferences, I think the Edit tab. You'll see a setting for default fade type.

Except, to hijack your thread..... I've tried resetting mine to linear several times, but in practice my fades all default to Fast ... Maybe I should try the trick of resetting all my preferences.

Unfortunately, your adjustment suggestion only alters the fade length in ms...there appears to be no setting to change the "shape" of the fade....probably not a big deal for audio fades...but it would be nice to pick from one of the 25 different shapes that is offered and select which one is your default type.....
