Not sure whether this topic belongs here or in the Movie Studio forum. I have a completed project in V10 and want to send to DVDAS5. So, I select......
Make Movie/Burn it to a DVD/ which brings up the Render Settings dialog window. Here I find the Video and Audio file paths. Trouble is DVDAS5 can't find the default folder that VMS HD10P has set. So the automatic hand-off fails - with no indication why. So, I opened DVDAS5 and tried navigating to the folder that v10 wrote them to. I cannot select the folder in DVDAS5!
C:\Users\Ken\AppData\Local\Sony\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum\10.0\filename.ext
The folder AppData and its entire hierarchy are invisible to DVDAS5.
I know I can work around this by changing the default file paths in v10 but why is the default file location invisible in DVDAS5?
Edit1> Well, I see that the AppData folder has a hidden attribute. Still wonder why this is the default - and what the recommended solution is. Is this a booboo that should be reported TS?
Edit2> Removing the Hidden attribute from just the folder makes everything work properly. Has anyone else run into this problem?
