Default Track FX

When I start a new project in Vegas, I notice that these plugins are activated at track level by default:
Track Noise Gate, Track EQ, Track Compressor.

My question is this: What are these plugins set to do by default - I haven't played with them, because the stuff sounds very good. At most, sometimes I add the Paragraphic EQ and use the hum removal preset. Everything else sounds fine, but, someone at Sony must have decided that this default set of plugs offered something beneficial to every project.

Thanks for any feedback.

By default, they're set to "null" so they're not doing anything. If you don't want them anymore you can remove them, then right-mouse-button click on the track header and choose "Set Default Track Properties". You can choose which properties to set; in this case Track FX would be the appropriate choice. If you do this after you have added your standard EQ and hum removal effects then these will become the default.
