Defect DV Mini Tape?

My 1st project burned successfully thanks to the help I received from this site. Thank you!
My new project was captured into 2 Clips by the software. The first clip of about 3 minutes at the begin of a 1 hr. tape seems to be running slower then the 57 minute, 2nd clip, balance. The voice on the 1st clip is lower in tone and slower, the video is a little choppy. Is there any thing I can do to corrrect this? The 2nd clip is okay. Thanks!
Jack

Did you try it in another camera? Did you try another tape that successfully captured to the computer in that camera that you are using to capture from? Did you try recapturing the first clip again? Try those things and report back.

Your suggestion work perfectly. I started 10 sec. into the tape and all is well.
I now have another problen. The DVD I burned (DVD+R DL) won't play on my player past the required chapter mark. It work on other files, why not this time?
Should I start from scratch and create a new file. The preview runs okay past the break!

Do a search for dual layer discs or double layer discs. I believe that spot or someone on here recommended burning the disc to a different book type using nero. I have also had the same problem with my DL discs playing on my player. I believe you are making reference to the switching of layers, not the chapter point(s). This is more an issue with the player than it is the discs as my DL discs will not play on my DVD set top player past the switching of the layers, but it will on other players and my computers. DL is just not that widely accepted by players. If there is anyway that you can shrink it down (lower the bitrate or make it variable with 2 passes) to fit on one single layer disc, that would be more compatible (save it with a book type of "rom" in Nero).

I burned another DL of the same file sucessfully. I deleted the chapter mark, used as layer break, then put in a new layer (chapter) break in a different position and reprocessed file. I think every time you make a change, that you just can't do a save; the file has to be reprocessed, prepared. If I am wrong please let me know. It worked the player ran the DVD from start to finish.
Thanks!
