Definate Audio Sync Prob in VideoCapture 2.5

So I tried something different and I'm seeing the same thing. This time, instead of using the print to tape button from the VF 2.0 menu, I make the 11gig .avi file myself with the make to disk function. I then load the file into media player and verify that the audio is sync'ed all the way to the end. Now I load VideoCapture 2.5, load the avi file, and even in preview, you can tell at about 18mins into the video, the mouth and audio are out of sync.

I tried to load the avi into my old program to get it on tape, (IntroDV), but it doesn't know how to read an 11gig file. :(

So, is this something new that we have stumbled upon SonicFoundry? Or are we doing something wrong?

Thanks for looking into it for us.

BTW:
Celeron600mhz
Win2K sp2
384meg Ram
40gig secondary HD 7200rpm/100 dedicated controller
Canon OpturaPI miniDV camera using DV IN cable

Anything else?

Has anyone located the PDF manual for Vidcap 2.5? I've got several questions about this capture utility also and feel I must just be overlooking something which is explained in the manual.

this is a known issue. I tried to output a 2 hr. film using vid cap 2.5 and it went out of sync after 7 minutes. Use 2.0e for printing to tape until this is resolved.

Yep, just for grins, I downloaded the 2.0e version and tried it. Worked like a champ!

So what other features did they include in 2.5? :)

Sorry, I get that everytime I release a new version of something too.

I've printed to tape a 50 minute clip, and the audio looses sync about 2/3 of the way into the first 4GB file. I've tried many adjustments with specs, but have yielded the same results -- bad audio sync.

Has anyone found a resolution to this. I'm concerned that the inability of Video Factory 2.0 to bundle 4GB DV files during a Print to Tape session with synchronized audio is a bug.

Thanks,
Boris
