deinterlacing

i might have asked this once in the past, but i'll try again....
If i create a still image in vegas 8 and need to de-interlace it to avoid
the flicker that it can cause, is there a way to do this in vegas? In the
past, i've de-interlaced in photoshop, but am thinking this is an unnesicary step...

>photoshop>filter>video>deinterlace, but feel vegas might offer the option as well (therefore, the question).

I'll rephrase the question - how are you getting an interlaced Jpeg out of Vegas?

right click on the image in the timeline.
find the "switches" setting.
in there is a clickbox that does the interlace flicker reduction.

i wish i could have that as a default option
