Delete and Snap

I am new to Vegas (moved from Pinnacle Studio) and I was wondering how you "delete and snap". Meaning, when you delete a clip, the trailing clips automatically snap to the previous clip so you don't have to manually join them together?

Find the button on the top of the menu bar called 'Auto-Ripple' or Ctrl + L and that will do it. Also look at it's drop down menu for 3 different options. Hope it helps. Cin

Thanks. Worked great! Also, how do I cut and paste a clip and have it insert in front of a clip instead of pasting over it?

If you've got the Auto Ripple set properly, clips you add to your timeline should insert.
