please define "chopies"?

are you referring to real time playback?

GaryKleiner wrote on 2/12/2004, 4:36 PM
Preview mode and CPU speed are probably the biggest factors.

preview mode is what you want to be using, good and best will choke your system down on viewing your playback.

Zippy, you need to get onboard here--How long have you been using Vegas---even a simpleton with ADD learns quickly that you normally view in Preview mode. This isn't like advanced stuff. I'm beginning to think that Vegas is beyond your limited reach--Have you considered Imovie or Windows Moviemaker.

look Zippy Dippy...

it is REALLY hard (nigh impossible mate) to take you seriously.

You have been using Vegas for how long exactly? Well your first post was back in May 2003, so you should not be so far backwards in Vegas experience that you would need an answer to such a trivial question.

A newcomer to Vegas... yes... anyone needs to have some helpful hints on why things are the way they are. But someone who has been using the product for nearly a year?????

I really am beginning to believe that Zippy is truly multiple personalities (probably multiple people) all just having a funny little game with us all.

Actually, if you reread his post, he's asking what would be the best thing to look at to get a better preview quality. Should he look at a more powerful CPU, more RAM, better GPU, etc.

My advice... Why limit yourself. Improve them all if you can afford it! ;o)

I understand the question completely. I just don't believe the question is real. He cannot be THAT far behind in his understanding of how the Vegas preview works if he <really has> been using the product for nearly a year already.

LV . . no matter how hard I try (many responses). . no matter what I can offer (experienced SV user). . no matter how good and nurishing the food is (valued experience and straight dealing). . . it's never enough!

Once onboard, we all visit all parts of this "Game" . ..

Zipps, keep talking. As I said, I'll be reading along . . oh yes. . . .

Take care Pal! - Grazie

I still don't understand why people continue to respond to ZippYGaloo-loo.
Liam_Vegas wrote on 2/12/2004, 10:25 PM
Grazie... you have the patience of a saint.

What do you think about THE question he asked from someone who has been using the product for as long as he has been? Could someone <really> be that far behind? For all the posts this Zippy has created... over such a long time... there have been <countless> other posts asking the exact same question time and time again. How <on earth> could he have missed the point for so long?

I just don't believe the guy is gunuine anymore. In fact I believe the guy(s) is(are) having a great laugh at our expense.

LV - Thanks for the Sainthood! - My partner might disagree . . . hah!

. . the thing here is . . . How are you left "feeling"? . . . Happy, sad, angry? . . .What's in it for you, to have these feelings? .. If you haven't got an investment in having these feelings. If it is nothing, then "jump-off" the game - otherwise there is something being "replayed" from sometime past .. get the picture? - I'll start charging soon - HAH!

O h yes, don't forget while we are chatting here there are "others" who are reading this . . that's okay . . if it gives support, I'm up for that .. Hey aint it good sometimes to just sit around and just Chat and know one is part of something else . . . get the picture? - Sometimes some of us ME included just wanna chat . . that's okay . . sometimes people disguise asking for tecno answers for wanting to have a chat . . thqt's okay too, by me . . And gues what while we are chatting . . here . . people are reading this and thinking . . this is nice .. this is a waste of space . . this is . . . Human! - It's a funny old world . . Nah, it's the people that are "funny" . . more likely & mostly endearing - yeah?

LV, did I answer your question? I kinda, sorta, think I did - yeah? Okay, that's a YES, I did - ;-)

Seeyah mate!

Grazie

ps - Somtimes it aint the content. Sometimes its the Packaging we need to view first . .. .
Liam_Vegas wrote on 2/12/2004, 11:09 PM
lost me. Sorry. Did you answer my question? I know you answered someones question. Maybe it was your own? Either way it just does not make plain sense to me. You seem to be trying to make some psychological point here? Why? Trying to put a hand out to the disturbed mind of Zippy? That's fine as well. Whatever.

{edit] If you are asking (suggesting) that I am angry or whatever over Zippys posts... no... you could not be further from the truth. I am however interested in a response to my very specific question which had no other meaning implied.

Man... that is a weird post.

I thought my question was quite simple... but I guess I was wrong. Which I am... often..

This guy is taking us all for a ride ! STOP RESPONDING to his posts ! Let him take his pranks elsewhere. Is there a circus in town ?

LV, your questions are truly excellent. I appreciate you wanting to keep the flow of communications straight. Yes, I could speculate on the "wheres and why fors" of Zipps asking these questions - which I believe this is at the core of your questions to me - However, and ultimatley, your questions require a direct "answer" from Zipps. IMHO? I don't think I/we will get one at present. I cannot speak for Zipps, he needs to do that . .when he is ready to do so, he might. In the meantime, we can only guess, ponder OR walk away . . .

My best regards Liam,

Grazie

Yep.. the question I asked required some speculation... or is it called an "opinion" maybe? I know that sort of thing is sometimes frowned upon.

There are very few certainties in this life... so I don't know about you but sometimes I have to try and make up my mind about something with just the facts (as blurred as they are) that you can see (or are allowed to see).

I'm not asking anyone to do anything here.

Zippy. This <has> been answered over and over and over... many times. You are <not new> to this... you <must have> seen post after post after post going into the detail that you are claiming you are looking for.

This is <not> the rocket science part of Vegas.

The answer is... that depends... on a lot of things.... and someone like you who has been with this forum... and with Vegas for nearly a year... already knows the answer.
