The Default Capture file has a lot of clips in the folder named "All Clips" - will deleting them from there also remove them from my hard drive or just from the Capture "All Clips" folder? Also why have the Capture function create it's own folder etc ...?
The capture function doesn't create its own folder, you tell it to capture to a folder and have the opportunity to give it a name. If you don't use that option, they'll capture to the default folder in My Documents." Hopefully you're not using that for best performance.
Anyway...if your "All Clips" folder is the only capture folder you have, and the files are .avi suffix, then yes; deleting that folder will delete those files from your hard drive. Could be a very bad thing. You might want to open your project(s) and use the Save As/Copy-trim all media" option to store the project and associated media in a second folder or hard drive prior to deleting any clips.
Hi DSE! I think you explained the solution but I'm too "stoopid" to work it out .. what I'm looking at now is the default .sfvidcap file. Since my last re-install of WINXP/Vegas it saves all the caputred files in the Deafault.sfvidcap file and I don't want it to. What is the use of a/any .sfvidcap file anyway?
When you "save" a capture session, all the parameters you set up for that session are retained. This can be useful if you are doing multiple capture sessions with a wide range of parameters.
