Deleting Single Frame

Newbie here.
I have one frame I need to delete. Is there a precise way to split it out besides zooming in and moving the scrubber so I can get it exactly between frames?
I have deleted a frame using the zoom method. Shouldn't I be able to grabbed the video and audio tracks and slide them over to close the gap? When I do this, the video track on the left moves with the audio track on the right. That doesn't seem right to me. I would think that grabbing the video and audio tracks right of the gap and sliding them left to fill the gap shouldn't move anything on the left side.

I did have a crossfade at the same point which I removed. Maybe that put a glitch into the works?

It wasn't a big project so I started over and didn't add any effects. I split on each side of the frame, deleted it, and slid the right side over no problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've gotten so that I don't end up actually "cutting" the frame off. That would require hitting "S" (split) and then deleting. What I would do is enlarge the track view so that I can see a frame, then I would grab the edge in question and slide it one frame in the direction I want to move it. This basically shrinks/enlarges the clip to whatever size you want.

The audio is grouped with it's video. If you want to separate one from the other, highlight both, then hit "U" (un-group). Then you can move or delete one or the other independently of each other.

Hope that made sense.

I use the Ctrl-Alt-Right/Left arrow to step frame by frame and the I and O keys to set respective in and out points. I then delete that section. This works for MPG as well as AVI events.

Thanks for the ideas. Looks like either way would work equally well.
I just started using the software and am learning the ins and outs.
